These 100mph, dual-voltage 4-car sets were seen all over the network providing mail services from London to destinations on the ECML, WCML, Southern and Anglia Regions. They were often used on non-electrified lines, being dragged by Class 47 or 67 diesels when diverted.
The Class 325s are still in use today, now operated by DB Schenker and work both the West and East Coast Main-Lines, with occasional diversions via the Great Western. These units are often assisted by locomotives, with preserved 86101 and 87002 having worked, along with Class 66, 67, 90 and 92.
In 2014, the units received major overhauls at Toton Depot and appeared in a slightly revised livery, without the yellow stripes.

The Class 325 is not supplied motorised but has been designed to take the Tomix TM-18 Chassis or Graham Farish Class 150 Chassis.
